Vega Tubaphone Style 'M' short scale tenor banjo specifications: 11" ¾" maple rim fitted with an original Vega 'Tubaphone' tone ring. Nickel plated hardware, 30 brackets and individual flange plates fitted to a heavy duty bracketband. The ebony fretboard has been refretted and hand dressed for optimum playability. Retrofitted with period Grover Diamond tuners at some point in its history replacing the original tuners. Fitted with a solid period 'Presto' style tailpiece, a 'Gibson' style armrest and a Remo 'Fiberskyn' head. The original convex resonator is fitted to the perch pole with a single fixing at the back.
