Gold Tone PS250F resonator model - £675.00

Gold Tone PS250F resonator model

a good intermediate/professional banjo from Gold Tone. It has an 11” x ¾” 3-ply maple rim with a heavy cast flathead brass tone ring and very heavy chrome plated metalwork - 24 brackets and a cast “New Kerschner” tailpiece. The plating is very well done. Fitted with a smooth Remo head. The maple neck is quite slim with a cream bound rosewood fingerboard and “hearts and flowers” position markers. The neck has two-way adjustable truss rod. The scale length is 26 ¼” with 22 frets. Modern banjo fretting, very nicely done and hand-dressed to give an excellent playing surface. The action is set-up low but is adjustable as required. Fitted with new vintage style planetary tuners. The resonator is the usual convex type with bindings. The neck is finished in dark lacquer which matches the body and resonator very well. Overall, this is an excellent intermediate/professional banjo for anyone interested in any of the plectrum banjo styles. It has a very loud, bright, clear tone suitable for both open chord and guitar tuning. A nice jazz band banjo which would suit an intermediate or professional player very well.
