Rover RB22 open back

a modern beginner‘s “old-time” banjo from Saga. It has an 11” moulded ABS rim with heavy nickel-plated metalwork - 24 brackets and a No-Knot tailpiece. The plating is excellent. Fitted with a Remo Fibreskyn head. The truss rodded mahogany neck is quite slim with a cream plastic bound rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot position markers. Two-point neck fixing for extra stability. The scale length is 26 ½” with 22 frets. Modern banjo fretting, nicely done & hand-dressed for an excellent playing surface. The action is set-up for frailing/clawhammer but is adjustable as required. Fitted with guitar style geared tuners and a geared 5th string peg. The neck is finished in clear gloss lacquer which complements the dark grey body very well - the finish is excellent. It has a pleasant mellow tone suitable for any open chord tuning. A well-proven design dating back to the 1940’s. An amazingly economical banjo which works very well indeed.

Comes complete with a free spare set of strings, capo and a pair of fitted capo spikes

This banjo also features in an "extra value" outfit - please see details on the "Complete Outfits" page
