Rover RB22 open back - beginner's complete outfit - £195.00

Rover RB22 open back - beginner's complete outfit

a basic modern beginner‘s “old-time” banjo from Saga. It has an 11” moulded ABS rim with heavy nickel-plated metalwork - 24 brackets and a Presto tailpiece. The plating is excellent. Fitted with a Remo Fibreskyn head. The truss rodded mahogany neck is quite slim with a cream plastic bound rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot position markers. Two-point neck fixing for extra stability. The scale length is 26 ½” with 22 frets. Modern banjo fretting, nicely done & hand-dressed for an excellent playing surface. The action is set-up for frailing/clawhammer but is adjustable as required. Fitted with guitar style geared tuners and a geared 5th string peg. The neck is finished in clear gloss lacquer which complements the dark grey body very well - the finish is excellent. It has a pleasant mellow tone suitable for any open chord tuning. A well-proven design dating back to the 1940’s. An amazingly economical banjo which works very well indeed.

The outfit comprises:- the banjo described above plus the following extras:- good quality padded “zip-round” gig bag, specially designed banjo strap, chromatic electronic tuner suitable for any banjo tuning and beginner’s pack (spare strings, capo, capo spikes, instructional DVD, banjo maintenance guide). The extras would cost over £40 if purchased separately.
