Rally "Frailer 3" Californian open back "Old-Time" model - £195.00

Rally

a new, higher-grade modern entry-level/intermediate "old-time" banjo - suitable for frailing, clawhammer and also very suitable for singers. It has an 11” laminated ½” maple rim with a rolled brass tone ring & sturdy chrome plated metalwork - 18 brackets and a No-Knot tailpiece. The plating is very good. Fitted with a Remo Renaissance head. The truss rodded maple neck is slim with a black bound rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot position markers. The scale length is 26 ½” with 22 frets. Modern banjo fretting, nicely done and hand-dressed by us to provide an excellent playing surface. The action is set-up for frailing/clawhammer but is adjustable as required. Fitted with good quality guitar style tuners and a geared 5th string peg. The neck is finished in clear matt lacquer which matches the body very well - the finish is very good. Overall, this banjo is well built and very good value for money. It has a bright tone suitable for any open chord tuning. An economical banjo which would suit a beginner or intermediate player very well.

This banjo is supplied with a spare set of strings, a capo and a pair of fitted "railroad" (capo) spikes so that you can play in a variety of keys right away .....

For "bluegrass" style playing, have a look at the resonator version of this banjo on the "resonator 5-string" page.
