Rally "Frailer 2" open back banjo - £150.00

Rally

a higher grade beginner‘s banjo from Rally - suitable for frailing/clawhammer styles. It has an 11” x ½” laminated mahogany rim with sturdy chrome plated metalwork - 24 brackets and an No-Knot-style tailpiece. The plating is good. Fitted with a Remo Fibreskyn head. The truss rodded mahogany neck is quite slim with a black bound rosewood fingerboard and dot position markers. The scale length is 26 ¼” with 22 frets. Modern banjo fretting, nicely done & hand-dressed for an excellent playing surface. The action is set-up low but is adjustable as required. Fitted with guitar-style tuners and a geared 5th string peg. The neck is finished in gloss lacquer which matches the body - the finish is very good. Overall, this banjo is nicely made and good value for money. It has a pleasant, clear tone suitable for any open chord tuning. A neat little banjo which would suit a beginner in "old-time" styles with the added benefit of coming already equipped with a pair of Capo Spikes and a spare set of strings -

also available with a beginner's complete outfit - please see the list of "open-back 5-string outfits!
