A modern beginner‘s "old-time" banjo built in the UK using (mostly) parts imported from Saga. It has an 11" moulded ABS rim with heavy chrome-plated metalwork - 24 brackets and a No-Knot tailpiece. The plating is excellent. Fitted with a Remo Fibreskyn head. The truss rodded mahogany neck is quite slim with a cream plastic bound rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot position markers. Twin co-ordinator rods in rim for extra stability. The scale length is 26 ½" with 22 frets. Modern banjo fretting, nicely done & hand-dressed for an excellent playing surface. The action is set-up for frailing/clawhammer but is adjustable as required. Fitted with guitar style geared tuners and a geared 5th string peg. The neck is finished in clear gloss lacquer which complements the dark grey body very well - the finish is very good. This banjo has a pleasant mellow tone suitable for any open chord tuning. A well-proven design dating back to the 1940's. An amazingly economical banjo which works very well indeed.
