A nice three-piece tailpiece based on a 1920's design.
The two-piece saddle/string plate assembly attaches to the banjo by means of a single nut & bolt through the angle at the bottom; the cover plate is attached to the saddle/string plate with a sprung hinge. There are 5 string lugs & 5 string holes in the top of the saddle/string plate (under the cover). There is a screw provided in the back of the tailpiece cover to alter the angle between the saddle and the string plate.
This is a nice tailpiece ideal for replacing similar tailpieces on period banjos or for use on new build banjos - also quite good for 4-string banjos owing to the string spacing.
