A basic two-piece tailpiece as found on many entry-level banjos.
The saddle attaches to the banjo by means of a single nut & bolt through the bottom; the cover plate attaches to the saddle with 2 small screws. There are 5 holes in the back of the cover plate for the strings to pass through; the strings themselves loop over 5 small lugs pressed out from the back of the cover plate. Although there is a screw provided to alter the angle of the cover plate relative to the saddle, its function is more decorative than useful. This is a budget-price lightweight tailpiece ideal for replacing similar tailpieces on entry-level banjos or for use on banjos (like uke banjos) where weight is an important consideration.
